1 dead, 1 injured in Fremont motorcycle-car crash

One person was killed and another critically injured when the motorcycle they were riding crashed with another car that fled from the scene on Friday. 

According to Fremont police, they received calls about a car and motorcycle colliding at the intersection of Blacow Rd and Hilo St at 8:19 p.m. Friday. 

Witnesses said that the involved car left the scene after the collision. 

Police and medical crews found two people lying on the roadway. 

One was pronounced deceased, while the other was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. 

From the witnesses’ description, police found the suspect vehicle and the driver near Grimmer Blvd. 

The car’s driver is now arrested. 

Police are investigating the cause of the collision. The vehicle was traveling southbound on Blacow Road when the crash occurred.
