A triple shooting in Marin City injured 3 victims, including 1 who dies from their injuries, late Sunday morning.
According to a tweet from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office at 10:40 a.m., deputies and area fire personnel were at the scene of a shooting in the area of Cole Drive in Marin City with more than 1 victim.
Authorities were called to the incident after 10 a.m. At least 1 person was transported to Marin General for treatment, according to Marin County Fire.
Around 11:45 a.m., the Marin County Sheriff provided additional information about the incident stating there was a total of 3 victims in the incident, including 1 who died from their injuries. The other 2 suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Video from the scene shows a damaged 4-door sedan that appeared to have multiple gunshots in both passenger side windows. Sausalito police units and vehicles from the sheriff’s office and Marin fire can be seen.
The shooting incident happened on the grounds of the Golden Gate village public housing complex.
No information on the possible motive or suspect has been disclosed yet.
The public is advised to avoid the area as the scene is still being investigated.
