1 dead in police shooting at Chinese Consulate in SF

A driver who crashed a car into the Chinese Consulate building in San Francisco has been shot and killed. 

The San Francisco Police Department confirmed that an officer was involved in the shooting. 

At 3:09 p.m., police responded to the scene at Geary Boulevard and Laguna Street after reports that a car crashed into a building. 

A responding officer shot the suspect. 

The suspect died at the hospital. 

Police did not provide additional information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The San Francisco Police Department is investigating the incident.

“The SFPD and officials from the US State Department are working with the Chinese consulate,” SFPD said.
