1 injured in stabbing at SFO baggage claim area, suspect detained

A man was stabbed multiple times at San Francisco International Airport, and police detained the suspect early Tuesday. 

According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the baggage claim area of Terminal 3 at SFO at around 4:55 a.m. They found a man with stab wounds and performed rendered aid until paramedics arrived. 

The victim is taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

Shortly after, the officers found and detained a man believed to be connected to the stabbing. 

Witness assumed the suspect is a homeless man, but the police have not confirmed this.
