1 killed in overnight shooting in Mission District

One person is dead after a shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District Sunday morning. 

According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers were dispatched to 18th and Mission Streets at around 1:58 p.m. after receiving a shooting report. 

At the scene, police found a man with apparent gunshot wounds. First aid was performed and the victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

The San Francisco PD Homicide Detail arrived on the scene and is heading up the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time, police said.
