$15K worth of makeup products stolen in Bay Area car break-in incident

A victim in the recent car break-in in the Bay Area lost her makeup products worth more than $15, 000.

On Wednesday, Janea, who is known online as Faced by Janea, took to Instagram what her vehicle has suffered from the crime.

She showed her car with a completely damaged rear windshield.

“Entire Kit, Light & Brushes GONE 💔😭,” she wrote in the caption.

In her statement to KRON4, the makeup artist said the suspect has taken away more than $15, 000 worth of equipment and makeup products she kept in her car.

She worked that day for a commercial and stayed for 16 hours in San Francisco.

The victim said she was so exhausted from the shoot that she placed “everything in my trunk, went to bed and woke up to this.”

Janea said the incident has happened in a private community behind Durant Square in Oakland.

While her car is being repaired, the acclaimed makeup professional said she still cannot work as she needs to invest in equipment and products again.

She was told by the Oakland Police Department to report the crime online, KRON4 reported.

Based on the police department’s crime report, a total of 4, 572 burglaries were already reported in this city this year.
