A shooting occurred at the Skyline High School campus in Oakland while classes were ongoing Tuesday.

According to the Oakland Police Department, officers were dispatched to the school, detained four suspects, and arrested two.

OPD Captain James Bassett said no one was injured.

The shooting happened at 11:30 a.m. and the school was placed on lockdown.

“Evidence of a shooting was recovered, including a handgun,” Bassett said. “Thankfully there were no reported injuries.”

Parents received a text message from the school just before 1 p.m. stating that all students and staff were safe.
