On Sunday evening, two people were shot near the Fruitvale BART station in Oakland. The incident briefly halted trains from stopping in the area.
According to police, they received reports of a person shot at around 5:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of E 12th Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The Oakland Fire Department and Flack Ambulance personnel arrived and took the victim to a local hospital.
Their conditions were unknown as of 7:20 p.m.
