2 San Francisco Shootings Result in 9 People Injured

Two shootings terrorized the Bayview and Tenderloin districts on Saturday evening and early Sunday, which resulted in nine people being injured, said authorities.

Police are contemplating whether the two incidents are connected but have made no arrests so far. At around 6:00 p.m. at Third Street and Quesada Avenue in the Bayview district, six male adults were shot. Police have not revealed the identities of the victims.

Officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert and several 911 calls found the six individuals. They also discovered shell casings upon investigation of the crime scene.

The victims were immediately transferred to a hospital. Officials said they were in stable condition on Sunday. Police have not yet released an announcement for a motive for the shooting.

Police said that around 2:00 a.m on Sunday, three men were injured by gunshots in Tenderloin at Turk and Hyde streets. Officer Robert Rueca said one of the men suffered life-threatening injuries, and the other two suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Until medical professionals arrived, responding officers gave first aid to the victims. There was no motive in the shooting has yet been released, and there have been no arrests, Mercury News reported.
