Three men were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of kidnapping and attempted murder.

According to the Union City Police Department, officers responded to a report in 2500 Medallion Driver on Monday, around 7:45 a.m. Police said the suspects forced a 28-year-old man into the car trunk and drove away.

The victim then ended up at a local hospital, where he said he was beaten unconscious and woke up at the bottom of a creek.

A good Samaritan found the victim and dropped him off at the hospital. The victim was treated for multiple non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle used in the kidnapping was from a carjacking incident in Fremont.

The suspects were identified as Kenneth Hayes, 38, Tyler Perea, 21, and Anthony Lankford, 22.

Police said anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Angela Fonseca at Angelaf@unioncity.org or 510-675-5227.
