1 min read

Two juveniles and an adult man have been arrested in Santa Rosa in connection to the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy last week.

On June 16 at 5:39 p.m., officers found a 15-year-old boy lying in the 2300 block of Corby Avenue parking lot.

The young boy was not responsive, and police believed he had been shot.

He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigation reveals that a group of young men were standing in the parking lot when someone fired at them, killing the boy. The suspect then fled the scene in an SUV.

On Thursday, police announced they’ve arrested a 14-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, and 23-year-old Anthony Vega-Rodriguez.

Police say the shooting was gang-related.

Vega-Rodriguez was booked into jail for murder and several counts of street-gang-related charges.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact the Santa Rosa Police Department at www.srcity.org/CrimeTips or by calling (707) 543-3595.
