Authorities said that the victim died later in the hospital after being treated but have not released details of his identity.

San Jose Shootings

While continuing their investigations on the Jackson Street crime scene, authorities said they believe “a shooting incident happened in the area early this morning.” However, they did not release additional information regarding the case.

“This incident is not related to the other two shootings from earlier this morning,” said San Jose police on Twitter. On Saturday, two other unrelated shootings were reported just after 1:30 a.m., and San Jose officers responded to the calls.

In a separate incident, police responded to reports around 1:39 a.m. in the 1900 block of Poco Way, where they discovered one injured adult. Minutes after, about five miles away from the first incident, police responded to another shooting, which had two wounded adults on the 500 block of West Alma Avenue. By Sunday evening, authorities had not released additional details.
