30,000 PG&E Customers Without Power on Saturday Morning

More than 30,000 PG&E customers were without power in the Bay Area Saturday morning, the utility company said.

The National Weather Service said strong winds were expected for the Bay Area through Saturday morning and to calm down by Saturday afternoon. PG&E hopes to have power restored by later on Saturday.

Here are the number of residents affected and without power as of Saturday afternoon:

  • East Bay: 14,699
  • Peninsula: 848
  • North Bay: 426
  • South Bay: 93
  • San Francisco: 15
  • Bay Area total: 16,081
