5-year-old killed in I-880 Fremont shooting

A five-year-old girl was killed after a shooting on I-880 in Fremont Saturday night. 

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the shooting closed the highway’s southbound lanes near Fremont’s Warm Springs District and Dixon Landing Road. 

The young victim was identified as 5-year-old Eliyanah Crisostomo. 

No other information about the victim is available at this time.

CHP said the shooting happened around 6:40 p.m. The victim was transported to the hospital but later succcumbs to her injuries. 

As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests have been made, according to CHP Golden Gate.
