Armed robbery leads to fatal crash after police chase in Bayview

One person died and another was injured after a police chase that started in Tenderloin and ended in a crash near the Bayview neighborhood. 

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the chase began around 4:04 p.m. after an armed robbery and auto burglaries. 

The pursuit continued to the highway and ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a fixed object near the highway. 

At the scene, police found two individuals in the suspect vehicle. One of them died, while the other was sent to the hospital. 

At this time, the surviving individual’s condition is unknown. 

No information about either suspect was released by SFPD. Police and California Highway Patrol are investigating this incident.
