During the encounter, the victims struggled against the suspects, who later punched and kicked the women several times, said police. Authorities said the men then attempted to flee in their vehicle when one of the women grabbed onto the driver’s side of the car to retrieve her purse, resulting in her being dragged for a few feet before being forced down onto the street.

Cameras recorded video footage of the incident which has since been released to the public. The San Francisco Police Department said both victims, one 33-year-old and one 53-year-old, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking for help from the public for any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the three suspects, KRON4 reported.
