1 min read

An Asian UPS driver on Thursday was viciously robbed and beaten in the middle of a San Francisco street while delivering items.

The Beating

Minh, the victim, said the perpetrator swiped a package from his car and began to beat him in the middle of the street. The suspect later ran off in a getaway car.

“They start to hit me in my face, and they hitting me in my teeth, I lost two teeth here,” Minh said, describing the attack. “They hit in my back, and I fell down, and the wheel in the front they run over my feet.”

Tiffany, Minh’s daughter, slammed the suspect for using violence on her father, who had been trying to retrieve the package.

“Right now, especially Asian delivery drivers putting their life out on the life for a job and my dad was just trying to do his job like to the extent to the fullest,” she said. “So he didn’t have to run after that man, but that man had to use violent forces against him which was uncalled for.”

The suspect had driven away without the package in hand.
