1 min read

As a powerful storm continues to move through the Bay Area, more than 36,000 residents are expected to be without electrical power.

Bay Area Power Outages

In the East Bay, where the biggest outage has been seen, more than 26,000 customers lost their electricity. Near the Oakland Zoo, more than 3,000 customers have been left without power, making it one of the worst-hit areas.

With no estimated restoration period, the largest outage in the South Bay includes more than 4,800 consumers in South San Jose, ABC7 News reported.

There were over 5,500 power outages scattered across the region throughout the North Bay. And in the Bodega Bay area, more than 1,000 consumers were affected. About 1,000 more consumers were affected in the Peninsula, and San Francisco totaled over 600.
