The Oakland Police Department identified the body found floating inside a suitcase on Lake Merritt as Gabriel Gomez Raymundo, 23.
On October 31, the suitcase was found floating on the lake near the 1900 block of Lakeshore Avenue.
Police are seeking information about the victim, where he lived, where he worked, and who are his associates.
Anyone with tips about his death is asked to come forward as well. OPD is still trying to solve Raymundo’s homicide and is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest.
