Body found near Napa River in Vallejo

A woman’s body was found near the Napa River in Vallejo Wednesday. According to the Vallejo Police Department, the incident was ruled as a homicide. 

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Wilson Avenue at 11:44 a.m. after a report of “a person in a marsh area.” The area is near the bank of the Napa River. 

When police arrived, they found the deceased body of an adult woman. 

The victim has not been identified yet. 

VPD’s detective division is investigating the case. The motive and circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation.
