California Police Busts Child Sex Ring

1 min read

Authorities busted a  child sex ring in California last week following a multi-day operation that led to the rescue of nearly a dozen women.

Reports from the Fresno Police Department showed that they teamed up with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations for Operation Stolen Hearts to track down the sex trafficking ring in the area, as reported by Fox26 Fresno.

Detectives for the police department went undercover and frequented websites used by traffickers to force minors to engage in a chat with adults. They later arrested 21 traffickers, 10 of whom were charged with felony and 11 for misdemeanors.

The people who were arrested were later booked on prostitution-related charges. Others also received charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with firearm and felony possession of firearm by felon or narcotic drug user.
