Charges against a Hayward man, linked to two deaths in August, have been dismissed. According to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutors dismissed the charges against Jonathan Zeigler, 30, pending further investigation.

The melee on August 26 in the 2800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way ended in three people dead.

Killed were 46-year-old Tyron Banks, 48-year-old Tonell Williams, and 36-year-old Daven Woolfolk.

Authorities said Banks allegedly shot Woolfolk that day.

Police alleged Zeigler shot Banks as he was trying to flee from the scene. Williams was killed when Banks tried to drive away and hit William’s bicycle.

Authorities had charged Zeigler with William and Banks’ death.
