A California couple arrested with the road rage shooting that killed a 6-year-old boy had been charged Tuesday during a brief appearance virtually in court.
Aiden Leos, 6, was shot in the back while on his way to kindergarten on May 21. Police later arrested Marcus Anthony Eriz, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23, for the shooting.

Eriz was charged with murder and shooting at an occupied motor vehicle. His bail was set at $2 million, according to a criminal complaint. Lee was charged with accessory after the fact, a felony, and concealing a firearm in a vehicle, with a bail provisionally set at $500,000.
Eriz’s attorney initially objected to a YouTube video streaming the proceeding, noting “safety concerns” for his client. However, Orange County Superior Court Judge Larry Yellin dismissed the concerns.
“We’re not treating Mr. Eriz any differently,” Yellin said Tuesday. “While I do recognize that there are probably more people watching this proceeding than many others, I’m not treating him differently or anything about this case differently,” Yellin said.
