San Jose police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found at the Newby Island Landfill on June 2.
According to police, at about 6 a.m., workers were called to the landfill at 1601 Dixon Landing Road in Milpitas when workers found a woman’s body “during processing operations.”
The woman was identified as LaToya Covington, 34.
The circumstances surrounding her death and the cause are still being investigated, according to San Jose police.
