The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal freeway shooting that occurred on Interstate 580 in Oakland Wednesday.
According to Oakland police, they contacted CHP at around 11:30 p.m. after they found a van on 51st Ave. and International Blvd.
Officers found a dead man inside with gunshot wounds.
The Oakland police department and CHP say the shooting likely happened on I-580.
No arrests have been made.
Authorities are asking the public who may have additional details related to the shooting to call the CHP at (707) 917-4491.
