Draymond Green suspended for Game 3 of Warriors-King

Draymond Green is suspended for the vital Game 3 of the Golden State Warriors against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.

The NBA announced on Tuesday that Green was suspended for stepping on Kings center Domantas Sabonis in Game 2.

Green was pulled out from Game 2 for the incident.

The Kings won the game 114-106, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.

Sabonis fell to the ground while going for a rebound and grabbed Green’s leg. While trying to get loose, Green stepped on Sabonis’ midsection.

According to the NBA, “The suspension was based in part on Green’s history of unsportsmanlike acts.”

Green was also suspended in the 2016 NBA Finals for hitting LeBron James in the groin area. In the series before that incident, he also kicked Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams. In 2022, he was also ejected from a playoff game against Memphis Grizzlies for dragging Brandon Clarke to the ground.

When asked about the incident with Sabonis, Green said it was the second time in two games that his leg was grabbed.

“I gotta land my foot somewhere, and I’m not the most flexible person so I’m not stretching that far,” he said.
