Family disturbance leaves father dead, police investigate possible homicide

A fight between a father and his adult son leaves the father dead. The San Jose Police Department is investigating the death as a homicide. 

On August 26, Saturday, at around 8:27 p.m., SJPD officers were dispatched to Donnington Drive and Lockhaven Way after a reported family disturbance. 

At the scene, officers found the father unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead. 

Another man was at the scene and was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail. 

The suspect and the victim’s identity are yet to be disclosed. 

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, police said.
