1 min read

Moments before the deadly shooting in Oakland’s Koreatown last week was caught on surveillance camera.

The incident killed a delivery person.

The shooting occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 400 block of 26th Street between Telegraph Avenue and Broadway.

The video shows a man and a woman walking their dog and passing by another man delivering flowers. The couple stops walking and the man hands the dog leash to the woman.

The man walks to the delivery man and an altercation began. He attacks the delivery man who responds by throwing him flowers. And that’s when the man walking the dog takes out a gun and shoots him.

The man who fired the shot can be seen running away.

The shooting victim was identified as Matheus Gaidos. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they are reviewing the video, but so far, no arrests have been made.
