2 mins read

The police reported the arrests of armed robbery suspects – a man and two women – who led law enforcers on a pursuit in Hercules.

Authorities have responded to an armed robbery report on Wednesday at around 12:57 at 842 at a Starbucks with a location at 842 Willow Avenue.

In its investigation, the police were told that a man had looked for the coffee shop’s manager.

When the manager showed up, the man gave him a note declaring that it was a robbery, according to the police.

The suspect then headed to cash registers and transferred all the cash from there into a bag.

At that moment, a gun was dropped from the suspect’s waistband. It was also found out that he had a radio to contact others.

But when the suspect failed to access the safe, the police said he fled and hopped into a 2006 grey BMW on standby outside the shop. He took with him an undetermined amount of cash.

The police came and people told them that the car where the suspect was sped off to the I-80 eastbound.

It was then spotted near the Carquinez Bridge and from there, an officer tailed the vehicle through Vallejo.

Several other law enforcers came to augment the operation. Some have attempted to create a traffic stop.

Authorities launched a pursuit when the escape car refused to stop. The chase went onto Highway 37/Columbus Parkway exit and returned to I-80 westbound.

The pursuit in Richmond was assisted by CHP officers and air support. The escape vehicle left the freeway in Emeryville and popped out three people who fled near Hollis Street.

This was where the man and two women were arrested and placed under authorities’ custody.

The suspects were provided with medical treatment before they were booked at the Martinez Detention Facility, KRON4 reported.
