Human remains were found while searching for a missing Saratoga teenager.

The remains were found Saturday near Castle Rock Park.

According to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, the county medical examiner is investigating the identity of the remains.

On July 7, Katherine Schneider went missing from her Saratoga home. She was last seen leaving her house on a white 2019 Honda Accord.

On August 7, deputies found the unoccupied car on Skyline Boulevard near Castle Rock State Park.

Sheriff’s officials said Sunday the case is still an active investigation.

Katherine is described as a white female juvenile, with straight blonde mid-back-length hair and blue eyes. She’s around 5’5 and weighs approximately 115 pounds.
