A teacher at a high school in Long Beach, California, was arrested and charged last month for having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old minor.
John William Gunde, 46, had allegedly met the victim on an online messaging platform between October and December. It is unclear whether the 15-year-old girl was a student at Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo High School where Gunde taught social studies.
Buena Park police received reports of criminal behavior on Dec. 13. They charged Gunde with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, officers reported Thursday.
