The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said a man suspected to have sexually attacked a blind woman in Cupertino this year was arrested.

Authorities said that on May 5 this year, a legally blind woman was on her way to work close to Stevens Creek Boulevard at North Stelling Road in Cupertino.

The suspect came near her and made flirty statements.

Officials said the blind woman ‘politely denied.’

Later, in broad daylight, the suspect approached the victim in a public parking space, the sheriff’s office said.

There she held the victim without her permission and started assaulting her sexually.

The suspect fled in a car when a couple of witnesses approached.
