NTSB investigates United plane that dove towards the Pacific Ocean

1 min read

The federal government is now investigating the United Airlines flight that nearly plunged toward the Pacific Ocean, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.

According to an Air Current report, the United Airlines Boeing 777 left Kahului, Hawaii on December 18 for San Francisco International Airport. That day, heavy rain and a flash flood warning were impacting flights.

After its departure, the plane reportedly came within 800 feet of crashing into the Pacific Ocean.

The NTSB says a preliminary report will be released in two to three weeks.
