Oakland police said a man was found dead with bullet wounds on Tuesday morning in the eastern part of the city.

Authorities are currently investigating the case and trying to identify the victim to determine who he was and where he lived. Witnesses discovered the dead body at about 7:34 a.m. on a lawn in the 800 block of East 28th Street near Ninth Avenue.
Police are trying to figure out the time and circumstances the man was show and killed. They are also looking for suspects that could have conducted the crime.
The incident has been recorded as Oakland’s 30th homicide this year, dwarfing the number of cases recorded in the same time last year, which was only ten., the East Bay Times reported.
A $10,000 reward money has been put up by police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland to anyone who could provide helpful information that could lead to the arrest of the culprit. Authorities are urging the public to stay vigilant.
