One dead after a morning shooting in Vallejo

A Sunday morning shooting in Vallejo left a man dead. 

According to the city’s police department, the shooting occurred around 7:29 a.m. on the 100 block of Simonton Street. 

Vallejo Police Department officers arrived at the scene and found a man with at least one gunshot wound. Medical crews transported him to the hospital where he later died. 

Officials are not yet releasing the victim’s identity. 

No arrests have been made in this shooting. No information has been released about potential suspects.
