One dead after being struck by Amtrak train in Berkeley

One person died after being hit by an Amtrak train in Berkeley on Wednesday. 

According to the Berkeley Police Department, the crash happened at around 5:35 p.m. near Harrison Street. 

The victim died at the scene. 

Amtrak police will investigate the crash.
