One dead in Vallejo shooting

The Vallejo Police Department has launched an investigation into a fatal Saturday night shooting. 

Shortly before 9 p.m., officers received a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Maine Street. The police found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene.  

According to the police, the victim was transported to the hospital, where he was declared deceased. 

The victim’s identity is yet to be released.

This death marks the City of Vallejo’s sixth homicide of the year.
