One dead, six injured in Antioch birthday party shooting

One teenager died, and several others were injured in a shooting at a house party on Sunday. 

According to the Antioch Police Department, shortly before 1 a.m., multiple 911 calls reported a shooting at a house on Sunset Lane. 

At the scene, officers found multiple victims and a large crowd. Witnesses told police that a birthday party was being held for a 19-year-old and that shots were fired after uninvited guests arrived. 

The gunshot created a panic, and partygoers dispersed. 

Police determined that seven people were shot. 

An 18-year-old old woman was transported to the hospital, where she died while six others sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and injuries. 

The suspect/s in the shooting fled the scene before the police arrived. 

Police have not made contact with any suspected shooters.
