One of the two juvenile suspects has been arrested for the killing of two brothers at a house party last October.
According to Oakland Police Department, Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has charged one of the suspects for fatally shooting Angel and Jazy Sotelo on October 1, 2022.
Jazy, 15, and Angel, 17, were students at Berkeley High School. The brothers were killed at an Airbnb party with approximately 30 attendees.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found several victims with gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures on Angel and Jazy were performed but they succumbed to their injuries.
Only one of the two juveniles arrested in connection to the shooting has been charged by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, police said.
The party at which the shooting occurred was unauthorized, according to an Airbnb spokesperson, meaning it took place without the “knowledge or consent” of the host or property owner.
