Police search for alleged serial killer linked to 5 murders

One person is suspected to be behind five unprovoked murders in the past few months. 

According to Stockton, California, Police Department, they are searching for a person of interest in connection to five murders that started on July 8. All of the victims were men and were alone at the time they were shot. 

The murders all happened at night or in the early morning hours. 

Police released limited details of the murders and when they happened: 

July 8: 35-year-old man fatally shot at 12:31 a.m.

August 11: 43-year-old man fatally shot at 9:49 p.m.

August 30: 21-year-old man fatally shot at 6:41 a.m.

September 21: 52-year-old man fatally shot at 4:27 a.m.

September 27: 54-year-old man fatally shot at 1:53 a.m. 

According to Stockton police, all victims were ambushed. They were no signs of robbery and none of the victims were drugged or in gang-related activities. 

None of the victims were publicly identified by police. 

Stockton city is putting out a $75,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Stockton Crime Stoppers posted an additional $10,000 reward.
