Police search for man accused of kicking woman on Muni Bus

San Francisco Police are looking for a man accused of kicking an elderly woman in the stomach while riding on a San Francisco Muni Bus. 

The department is seeking public help in locating the suspect. 

The incident happened on Saturday, December 3, around 11:21 a.m., when officers from the SFPD Northern Station responded to Geary Boulevard and Laguna Street on a reported assault. 

On the scene, officers found a 79-year-old female. 

The victim was on board the 38 Line bus at Geary and Laguna when an unknown man kicked her in “an unprovoked attack.” She was kicked in the abdomen, fell, and hit her head on a railing. 

The suspect fled on foot. 

Medics were called, and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s or 30s, around 5’11, with dark hair and dark facial hair. He was last seen wearing a burgundy hooded sweater and black pants.
