Donning on a rainbow crochet bikini top and jeans, Halsey tops the trending search Wednesday when she announced her pregnancy. Fans cooed at the adorable and unexpected maternity photos, shot by Sam Dameshek, with a silk drape background.
“Surprise!” Halsey, 26, captioned the photos on Instagram. She is expecting her first child with boyfriend Alev Aydin, 37.

However, this is not Halsey’s first pregnancy. She suffered a miscarriage while on tour in 2015 and after being diagnosed and underwent surgery for endometriosis, had her eggs frozen. She stated in a 2019 tweet that she had experienced three miscarriages.
“My rainbow,” She tweeted Wednesday. The tweet, the rainbow bikini and emojis might refer to a “rainbow baby,” a term for a baby that is born after a previous miscarriage, stillbirth, or death of an infant.
“I want to be a mom more than I want to be a pop star,” she told Rolling Stone in 2016. “More than I want to be anything in the world.”
