Rapper PnB Rock shot and killed in LA robbery

Rapper PnB, 30, was shot and killed at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in Los Angeles Monday afternoon. 

According to police, officers responded to 106 West Machester Avenue at around 1:23 p.m. LAPD said the victim died from his injuries at 1:59 p.m and was robbed after the shooting. 

“The victim was sitting at a table eating with a female witness when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect then brandished a firearm and demanded his property. We don’t have the audio as to what the exact verbal exchange was at that time. The suspect then fired multiple rounds and then appears to remove some property, to what extent we don’t know at this time,” LAPD told media.

According to a witness, Rock was shot in an attempted robbery over his jewelry. 

PnB Rock, born Rakim Hasheem Allen, is originally from Philadelphia and signed with Atlantic Records in 2015. His song ‘Selfish’ climbed as high as No. 51 on Billboard’s Top 100 in January 2017. He has appeared in seven other songs that cracked the Top 100.
