Riot Games CEO sued for alleged Sexual Harassment

Nicolo Laurent, CEO of Riot Games, a popular videogame developer and publishing company is being sued by former employee Sharon O’Donnell due to him allegedly committing numerous acts of sexual harassment during O’Donnell’s years of employment to the company. One instance ending with Laurent explicitly asking O’Donnell to “cum” to his house while his wife was not home.

Sharon O’Donnell was formerly Laurent’s executive assistant, states that the CEO knowingly repeated these acts of “harassing Plaintiff based on her sex or gender”, which lasted from when she started off in the company, till when she quit in 2020. She was dismissed due to there being “multiple well-documented complaints from a variety of people”.

Several other complaints have Laurent telling female employees to have children in order to handle the stress that came with the Covid-19 Pandemic, she allegedly had work duties stripped off her due to her repeatedly rejecting such advances. 

Riot has stated that Laurent “has pledged his full cooperation and support during this process, and we’re committed to ensuring that all claims are thoroughly explored and appropriately resolved.”
