1 min read

The Santa Clara Police Department busted a marijuana operation on Monday evening.

SCPD said they seized 384 mature marijuana plants.

After receiving a report of suspicious activity, officers were dispatched to a vacant residence where they found marijuana plants inside a parked vehicle.

Four suspects were seen coming out of the house and were detained.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the home and discovered it was a marijuana grow operation.

The police found two pounds of mushrooms, scales, dried marijuana, and 384 marijuana plants.

The suspects were booked into jail.

“Illegal marijuana cultivators often resort to using toxic chemicals on their plants, posing a serious threat to public health,” SCPD said. “These cultivators often employ dangerous pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides that are not approved for use on crops, resulting in contaminated marijuana products.”
