On June 28, the famous New York-born burger chain Shake Shack is finally opening a second location in San Francisco’s Westfield Mall, nearly two years after it first confirmed its new outpost.
The new Shake Shack location will open on June 28 and will be the chain’s second outpost in San Francisco. The new outpost is expected to be the most centrally located store, which is just steps away from the Powell St. BART Stop.
The new Shake Shack location is expected to feature many of its standards, including cheeseburgers with smashed patties and shakes made with frozen custard. It will also serve the Golden State Double, a burger exclusively available in the Bay Area. The recipe includes two grass-fed beef patties, cheddar and smoked garlic aioli.
On opening day, Shake Shack will donate $1 from every order to the San Francisco nonprofit La Cocina, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
