Stabbings in Berkeley Hills left 1 dead: police

One died after a series of stabbings Saturday afternoon in Berkeley Hills. 

According to the Berkeley Police Department, around 12:33 p.m. officers were dispatched after receiving a call of a stabbing on the 1000 block of Overlook Road. 

The stabbing victim was a female. 

BPD said another call reported a subject being chased down the street with a knife. When police arrived at the scene, the suspect fled in a stolen car. 

Officers were able to find the suspect vehicle and a car chase ensued. 

BPD officers also found two more stabbing victims on Overlook Road. 

The victim being chased down the street was a male and sustained injuries on his hands. 

The third victim was a female and was taken to the hospital with stab wounds. Her condition is unknown at this time. 

The car chase ended in a collision and the suspect was taken to BPD jail.
