The San Francisco Police Department confirmed that the stolen French bulldog, Rosie, was found and was reunited with its family in San Francisco on Saturday morning, KRON4 reported.
“Rosie is on her way back home safe!,” the Investigations Bureau said on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Evening of the same day, police said that the dog had been returned to its owners.
“Huge shoutout to everyone for their assistance in spreading the word,” police said.
Additional details regarding the return of the Rosie to its family will be released later.
Rosie, a 9-month-old dog, was walking with its owner close to Broderick and Beach in the Marina on Saturday at around 10:05 in the morning.
It has been violently taken by an unidentified person from the owner.
The suspect escaped using a silver Chrysler 200, according to the police. The vehicle has a partial plate 7JPM.
