Suspect arrested in fatal Marin City triple shooting

Marin County authorities have confirmed the arrest of the suspect in the triple shooting incident that occurred over the weekend. The incident resulted in 1 victim dead. 

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting at the Golden Gate Village complex on Cole Avenue and Drave Drive shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday. 

At the scene, deputies found Michael Arthur Rogers II inside a vehicle and suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. 

A woman was in the car with him and had sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both were taken to the hospital, but Rogers succumbed to his injuries. The woman was released after treatment. 

According to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Sel Charvet Butlet Jr., 27, was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the deadly shooting of Rogers. He was arrested at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. 

He was transported to the Marin County Jail on Wednesday and booked on charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon, shooting an inhabited dwelling or occupied vehicle, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released additional information.
