A man believed to be connected to the deadly shooting in Richmond was arrested. He was found at an RV lot for the homeless in Oakland.

According to police, Jeremy Griego, 33, was shot in Southside Park on Saturday. The victim suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A video shows the suspect and Griego arriving at the park in a gray Pontiac sedan when an altercation began and the suspect shot Griego.

More video evidence and witness statements tell that there had been an ongoing argument between Griego and the suspect.

Gregory Bonner Jr. has been charged with murder in the August 20, 2022 shooting death of Jeremy Griego.

The investigation led the authorities to the lot on the 700 block of 71st street in East Oakland where they found the sedan and the suspect behind the wheel.

The suspect was identified as Gregory Bonner Jr., 48, from Oakland. He was arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Jail.
